Fire & Ice Contest
sponsored by the Chicago-North RWA® Chapter!
WHO CAN ENTER:
The Fire & Ice Contest is open to all authors who have not signed
a publishing contract for novel-length romantic fiction (regardless of
publisher) within five years of the
contest deadline.
The entry must have a projected minimum length of 50,000 words.
WHY YOU SHOULD:
First place winners in each category will receive $30. All finalists will
receive certificates and will be mentioned in the Romance Writers Report. All contestants will
receive a score sheet.
In addition, judges are encouraged (but not required) to
write comments on the manuscript.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The contest has a non-refundable entry fee of
$25 and all entries
must be received by the deadline of March 31, 2009.
Both paper and electronic entries will be accepted.
Contest submissions will be accepted beginning February 9, 2009.
RESULTS:
Finalists will be announced by mid-May.
Winners will be annouced at the RWA National Conference in Washington, D.C., July 15 - 18, 2009.
