Fire & Ice Contest
sponsored by the Chicago-North RWA® Chapter!
WHO CAN ENTER:
The Fire & Ice Contest is open to all authors who have not signed
a publishing contract for novel-length romantic fiction (regardless of
publisher) within five years of the
contest deadline.
The entry must have a projected minimum length of 50,000 words.
WHY YOU SHOULD:
First place winners in each category will receive $30. All finalists will
receive certificates and will be mentioned in the Romance Writers Report. All contestants will
receive a score sheet.
In addition, judges are encouraged (but not required) to
write comments on the manuscript.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The contest has a non-refundable entry fee of
$25 ($30 for non-RWA members) and all entries
must be received by midnight of February 1st, 2010.
Electronic entries only will be accepted.
Contest submissions will be accepted beginning December 15, 2009.
RESULTS:
The winners of the 11th annual Fire & Ice Contest have been posted. A full and a synopsis were requested by two of the final judges. Congratulations!
Finalists of the 2010 (12th annual) Fire & Ice Contest will be announced by mid-March. Winners will be announced at the Spring Fling Writers' Conference in Deerfield, IL, April 23 - 24, 2010.
