Sara Daniel’s Amazon Short, Path to Popular, is now available for only 49 cents as a download.   It continues the story of teenager Heather Fitzsimmons, who started out as a minor character in Lane to Heaven.  

Simone Elkeles sold ZERO TOLERANCE to Walker, which is a division of Bloomsbury (who published Harry Potter). It will be released in early 2009.

Blythe Gifford received a three book contract offer from her editor at Harlequin Historical and has an agent.  The contract begins with Innocence Unveiled, to be released in June, 2008.  Next will be a spinoff from The Harlot's Daughter, the story of the sister, Jane.  The third is a player to be named later.

Ruth Kaufman is now on the RWA Board as a Director in Region 2.

Maureen Lang's The Oak Leaves finaled in the Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence, sponsored by RWA's Southern Magic Group.  She also sold a three book series to her publisher Tyndale.  The first release will be in 2009, the remaining two in 2010.  Remember Me was released in Dutch, and The Oak Leaves released on audio.  Her newest release On Sparrow Hill (sequel to The Oak Leaves but can be read independently) is out now.

Lindsay Longford and Jennifer Green will be doing a panel—Taking Back Your Power—at the RWA conference in San Francisco.  

Carrie Lofty submitted Scoundrel's Kiss (the sequel to What A Scoundrel Wants) to her editor.  Scoundrel’s Kiss is the second book in her two-book Kensington contract and has a release date set for December 2009.  She also sold an article on unusual historicals to RWR for a November publication date.

Nancy Parra sold Mr. Charming, a contemporary romantic suspense, to The Wild Rose Press.

Averil Reisman finaled in the Grand Beginnings and Between the Sheets contests with her manuscript, Shattered Innocence. Best of Luck, Averil!

Patricia Rosemoor was nominated for a Career Achievement Award in Series Romantic Adventure by Romantic Times.

June Sproat's YA book Ordinary Me is available now from The Wild Rose Press.  

Debra St. John signed a contract with The Wild Rose Press for her manuscript, This Time for Always.

Merrillee Whren got a 2-book contract with Steeple Hill. In addition, her book An Unexpected Blessing won the Maggie Award at Moonlight & Magnolias.
